[2.2.4] - 2026-10-26

Your notes now sit with your sources — Gemini Notebook lists the notes you make with + Create note or Save to note next to your sources. The extension follows: they show in the Sources tab and count as sources on your notebook cards. The Studio tab keeps only the older notes Gemini Notebook still shows there

Do with a note what you do with a source — view, rename, delete, download, compare, copy to another notebook, export, back up and restore, scan for duplicates. The tools on the Gemini Notebook page (Export, Copy to notebook, Merge, Rename) take notes too. When you pick only notes, the buttons and messages say "notes"

Merge notes into a note — merging only notes makes one note you can keep editing in Gemini Notebook. With sources in the mix, the result is a text source as before

Generate from your notes — pick notes in the source list when you generate, in one notebook or several. A notebook with only notes can generate too

Labels count your notes — the Labels view turns on at 5 sources or notes, and shows the labels Gemini Notebook's Auto-label gives your notes. Gemini Notebook doesn't yet keep a label you add to a note yourself, so when you add or create a label the extension leaves notes out and tells you. Removing a label from a note works

Open in compact mode — the compact notebook toolbar now has its own Open button at the right end, next to the arrow, where the full toolbar has it. It used to be tucked inside the NLMTools.com menu

Fixed: copying a note to another notebook, and restoring one from a backup, work again after Gemini Notebook's update

Fixed: hiding the NLMTools.com badge (a Pro setting) also took away the Settings button on it. A small ⚙ now stays in the badge's place on the notebook toolbar and the home page bar

Fixed: in the "/" prompt list, a long shortcode such as /concrete-examples ran into the prompt's title. The title now comes first and the shortcode sits at the right, as in the Generate panel's Insert prompt list, and the preview line uses the full width
