Feature Request: Rename “Artifacts” to “Studio” + Output Management

Problem The term “Artifacts” is inconsistent with NotebookLM, which uses “Studio”. This creates unnecessary cognitive friction. The current Artifacts output is incomplete: it does not cover all common formats (e.g. Notes, Mind Maps, Slides, etc.). There is no output management (folders / categories). When exporting many formats, outputs quickly become cluttered and hard to reuse. Proposed Improvements Rename “Artifacts” → “Studio” Aligns terminology with NotebookLM. Clearer mental model: Studio = where outputs are created and managed. Expand Export Formats Support full output types: Notes, Mind Maps, Slides, Summaries, etc. Make Studio the single place for all generated outputs. Add Output Organization (Folders / Tags) Allow users to group outputs by project, topic, or format. Essential for power users who export frequently in multiple formats. Why This Matters (Opportunity) Improves UX consistency with NotebookLM. Turns Studio into a real output hub, not just a file list. Increases long-term retention for advanced users who rely on structured knowledge workflows. This is a small naming + structure change, but it unlocks a much more scalable and professional user experience.

Updated v1.7.2 Skip Add Output Organization (Folders / Tags)

Feb 28, 2026

For the Output Organization, do you think tags or folders are better?

Feb 28, 2026

Great question! If I had to choose one for an MVP, I'd lean towards Tags because of their flexibility. Outputs often have multiple contexts (e.g., a file can be both #ProjectA and a #MindMap). However, the absolute best approach for power users would be a hybrid model: Use broad Folders / Workspaces for strict project boundaries (e.g., 'Client A', 'Client B'). Use Tags within those folders for granular filtering (e.g., 'Draft', 'MindMap', 'Approved'). If building both is too complex right now, a robust Tagging system with a good filtering UI will scale much better than rigid folders.
